About this site
What it is
This site lets anyone open, edit and download PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files from a web browser — on Windows, macOS, Linux or a Chromebook — without installing software or creating an account.
Why privacy comes first
Most online converters ask you to upload your document to their servers. Contracts, payslips, medical reports and student records should not have to travel across the internet just to be read. Here, the file is opened by your browser and processed on your own device. We never receive it.
How it works
The editors are built on proven open technologies: Mozilla pdf.js for rendering PDFs, pdf-lib for writing them, docx-preview and TipTap for Word documents, ExcelJS and SheetJS for spreadsheets, and PptxGenJS for presentations, plus our own formula engine and slide renderer.
Because the processing happens locally, the site also works offline once loaded and can be installed as an app.
Honest limitations
Office formats are complex. Some advanced features — such as charts, pivot tables, animations and Word headers in edit mode — are not supported yet. Each tool page lists what it can and cannot do.
Who is behind it
The site is developed and maintained independently. It is funded by advertising shown on information pages; ads are never placed inside the documents you work on. Questions and suggestions are welcome on the Contact page.
