Frequently asked questions

Are animations and videos supported?

Not yet. Slides are shown in their final state; animations, transitions and embedded video are not played. Charts are shown as placeholders.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The file is read and processed by your own browser. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party, and the file is gone when you close the tab.

Can it open .ppt files?

Only .pptx (and .ppsx/.potx). Convert older .ppt files with "Save as .pptx" first.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free to use and there is no sign-up. The site is supported by ads shown on the information pages, never inside your document.
